ADHD Referrals
Referral Options
You have a choice of where you can be referred to, if your screening meets the criteria for referral on for diagnostic assessment.
Please note: There is currently at least a 7+ year wait to have a diagnostic assessment for ADHD with the Local Secondary Care Neurodevelopmental Service.
Due to the demands on getting an assessment you can opt instead for a referral to another right to choose service such as a new local service ADHD Primary Care Connect who offer online and face to face assessments, or ProblemShared who offer online assessments.
You can opt for a different right to choose service, HOWEVER we can elect not to share care with other right to choose providers, given there is now a suitable local alternative which we expect to bring improvements in quality, safety and governance.
We recommend self referring to ADHD Primary Care Connect due to it being a local service with the shortest waiting times.
