Clinics We Offer
In addition to GP consultations the practice offers a comprehensive range of clinics and healthcare services:
Asthma, COPD and Coronary Heart Disease (CHD)
Regular check-ups and advice from practice nurses and healthcare assistants on lifestyle, inhaler techniques and medication. Book in routine nurse/healthcare assistant clinic.
Diabetes
Comprehensive advice and management for insulin and non-insulin dependent diabetics including blood pressure and blood lipid management. This is managed by Dr L Shillito, Jo Morris and Kelly Robbins.
Ear Care
The ears are usually self-cleaning as the skin cells of the ear drum and ear canal are constantly migrating outwards and most people do not need to interfere with their ears at all. Some people make more wax, or their ears do not clean the wax as effectively as others. In these cases wax can build up inside the ear sometimes causing a blockage sensation. If the wax does not particularly trouble you, then you do not need to treat it. You can use olive oil or sodium bicarbonate drops daily and this will help the ears clean themselves. If you would like further information on ear care please follow the link for our Ear Care Leaflet
Unfortunately for the rest of the financial year we are no longer able to provide an ear syringing service. NHS Sussex has decided to cap some of these services to help meet its budget for this year. If you would like to complain then please contact sixicb.contactus@nhs.net.
